Director of Facilities and Maintenance

Under the direction of the Executive Director, and in accordance with the mission, the Director of Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of facilities and grounds for the Hempfield recCenter and nine parks.  Three to five years of supervisory experience is preferred.  The incumbent will supervise, direct and evaluate a department of 10-15 employees.  Must be highly motivated and knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, and swimming pool mechanicals.  The incumbent must be able to manage multiple projects and willing to learn and accept new responsibilities and work effectively as part of the management team.  Highly effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary for dealing with all levels of staff and members.

Customer Service Representative

Now hiring a part-time customer service representative at Hempfield recCenter, 950 Church Street in Landisville.

Applicants must have a working knowledge of computers, be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable handling money. They should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They should have the ability to solve practical problems.

Customer service experience preferred. Must have CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be willing to acquire upon hiring. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Approximately 15 hours a week. Must be willing to work nights/weekends.

Custodial Technicians

Custodial Technicians are responsible for keeping the Hempfield recCenter clean and safe at all times.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting etc.
Maintaining courts, fitness areas, meeting rooms, and offices to the highest standard of safety and cleanliness
Use of cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, etc.
Provide outstanding customer service

Qualifications:
Must be available to work evening and weekend hours
Janitorial cleaning experience preferred
Must have Child Abuse and Criminal Clearances or willing to obtain upon hire

Personal Trainer

Hempfield recCenter is seeking a Personal Trainer with a flexible schedule who can take clients at numerous days and times throughout the week.

Looking for someone who has experience with sports training but who can also work with the general population.  Certification required; ACSM, NASM, NSCA or ACE preferred.

Grounds Maintenance Tech - Parks

Part-time grounds technician (various shifts, including weekends) wanted.  Responsibilities include mowing, edging, weeding, mulching, trash pick-up, pavilion and restroom cleaning and maintenance in a public park setting.  Previous landscaping/grounds maintenance preferred. Qualifications:

SAC - Before- and After-School Support Staff

NOW Hiring for the 2019-2020 school year!

Our before- and after-school program in the Hempfield School District is seeking fun and dedicated people who are passionate about children. If you are looking for a fun way to gain experience for a future career in education or just love working with children, this is the job for you! We offer flexible shifts and can work around your schedule.

Qualifications: 
• Must be at least 18 years old;
• Must have clearances (child abuse, criminal, and FBI) or willing to get upon hire;
• CPR/First Aid certification or willing to get upon hire.

Education/Experience Qualifications: 
• GED or High School diploma AND 2 years documented experience working with children Or a BA in education (or working towards);
• Two reference letters documenting suitability to work with children is required.

Other Qualifications: 
• Employee must get a physical and TB test upon hire;
• Various training must be done upon hire and throughout employment.
