Parks Maintenance Technician Full-Time

Required Criteria: High School Diploma or Technical School Training, Valid Driver’s License, Child Abuse Clearances, and FBI check

Preferred Criteria: One to two years in Parks Maintenance or Landscaping with basic indoor/outdoor mechanical to include light plumbing, electrical, carpentry.

Position Description: Under the direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor, and following the mission, the Parks Maintenance team member is responsible for maintenance and care of nine varied sized recreational parks, their facilities, and amenities. Duties include but are not limited to trash removal, cleaning, mowing, weeding, and general landscaping, as well as maintenance activities and repairs.

Early morning warriors wanted! BodyPump™ and other Les Mills certified instructors needed for early morning classes (5:30 a.m.) and other opportunities.

Job Description:

·         Greet and welcome class participants

·         Must be fully prepared for each class

·         Provide positive, specific cuing during class to ensure optimal workouts

·         Watch member form and other behaviors to ensure safety

·         Make sure that participants are aware of social distancing, wiping of equipment, and other COVID related safety measures

·         Answer all questions from participants in a positive and professional manner

·         Communicate with Fitness & Wellness Director in a timely, responsible manner

·         Must be willing to sub for other instructors if available

Requirements:

  • Les Mills certifications required
  • Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/FA certification
  • Must be reliable and have great interpersonal skills
  • Must have own transportation
  • State Police and Child Abuse clearances required

The weekday shift starts at 4:30 am.

Our before- and after-school program in the Hempfield School District seeks fun, energetic people passionate about children. Qualifications: 
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have clearances (child abuse, criminal, and FBI) or willing to get upon hire
• CPR/First Aid certification or willing to get upon hire

Education/Experience Qualifications: 
• GED or High School diploma AND 2 years documented experience working with children Or a BA in education (or working towards)
• Two reference letters documenting suitability to work with children is required

Other Qualifications: 
• Employee must get a physical and TB test upon hire
• Various training must be done upon hire and throughout employment
