The Hempfield recCenter has just announced that three local Wild Card players will be joining the Koser Jewelers $100,000 Tennis Challenge taking place from August 4th to 10th.
Brace yourself for some fierce competition! The five tournament Wild Cards are here to shake things up. We are thrilled to introduce Elizabeth Ionescu, Catherine Harrison, Christina Rosca, Luciana Perry, and Olivia Dorner.
Main Draw Wild Card
Elizabeth Ionescu
York, PA
Elizabeth Ionescu is our 2025 main draw Wild Card. At only sixteen years of age, Ionescu is quickly making a name for herself. This Pennsylvania native already has a win over Ann Li (World No. 127) under her belt. As a rising junior in high school, Ionescu is No. 4 on the national recruiting list and No. 1105 in the world. Athletic prowess runs in her family—Elizabeth’s parents were both Olympic-level runners.
Main Draw Doubles Wild Cards
Catherine Harrison
Catherine Harrison is a UCLA standout, she reached career-high WTA rankings of No. 214 in singles and No. 69 in doubles. Catherine won her first WTA doubles title in 2022 and has multiple ITF singles titles. Her smart, spin-heavy game and standout doubles skills have made her a rising name on tour.
Christina Rosca
Pittsburgh, PA
Christina Rosca is an American professional tennis player and standout Vanderbilt alumna, where she earned nearly 100 singles wins and a degree in neuroscience. A former ITA top-10 collegiate player, she’s transitioned successfully to the pro tour with multiple ITF doubles titles and a career-high WTA doubles ranking of No. 162. Known for her sharp court sense and academic excellence, Christina continues to make her mark in professional tennis while planning for a future in medicine.

Robin Anderson
Matawan, New Jersey
Robin Anderson is an American professional tennis player and former UCLA standout, where she was a two-time Honda Sports Award winner and led the Bruins to the 2014 NCAA title. She has won six ITF singles titles, reached a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 137, and made her Grand Slam debut at the 2022 Australian Open. Known for her consistent baseline play and competitive edge, she continues to compete on the ITF and WTA Challenger circuits.

Olivia Dorner
Williamsport, PA
Olivia Dorner is a standout junior on the Penn State women’s tennis team. Competing at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles, she helped lead her team with a 22–9 doubles record alongside partner Maiko Uchijima. The duo won the ITA Northeast Regional and earned a top-50 national doubles ranking. A strong student-athlete, Olivia is an All-Big Ten honoree and Academic All-District selection.
