Aquatics Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Deep Water Aerobics is a non-impact workout designed to reinforce and maintain a high level of fitness. The class focuses on total body toning, strengthening and cardiovascular benefits with no stress to the joints. You are supported in deep water with a flotation belt while running, jogging and skiing with water resistance. Emphasis is placed on posture to strengthen core body muscles and provide a safe and highly effective workout. Medium to high intensity; for swimmers and non-swimmers.

Hydro-Fit lets you take your water aerobics to the next level. It is designed to reinforce and maintain a high level of fitness that will help you play or compete faster, stronger, and longer in your sport. Using the natural resistance of water with special moves, you will reach an aerobic maximum while building endurance and improving strength and flexibility. High intensity workout; swimmers and experienced exercisers.

This class combines the principles of Pilates with the benefits of aqua exercise, enabling you to rebuild your body from the inside out by increasing abdominal strength, back strength, energy and posture. Whether you are an athlete wanting to enhance performance by increasing your core strength or you have arthritis, osteoporosis or weight challenges – H20 Pilates is the class for you. Great for all fitness levels; swimmers and non-swimmers.

Shallow water aerobics uses the resistance of water to deliver a great high-level workout while increasing strength and flexibility. Tones legs, thighs, butt, arms, and abs. Our instructors combine aerobic conditioning with resistance training using noodles, barbells and kickboards. Improves balance and steadiness. Water shoes or old sneakers are recommended for this class, which is ideal for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. Classes range from the arthritis class to the challenging higher intensity classes.

This energizing class offers a high-level workout like no other. It is an aerobic workout that works on abdominal strength and flexibility and helps you burn calories at a high rate, waking up your metabolism and increasing your endurance. Steadiness and balance in the water, as well as water shoes or old sneakers are recommended. High intensity workout . . . you can break a sweat even though you are in the water!

Class Description Aquatic running is ideal for people who want to get a good workout without learning to swim. You use all your muscles each time you complete a lap. Proven to help with the painful symptoms of fibromyalgia, great for injury recovery, and can be beneficial for anyone who wants to increase or maintain their fitness level. Perfect for beginners, ramp up intensity on your own.

Group exercise classes are included free with fitness membership.
