Saturday was the perfect day for a run, with sunshine and cool, crisp air setting the stage at Amos Herr Park for the Amos Herr Honey Run 5K. Hosted by the Hempfield recCenter, the event was a celebration of community, determination, and a shared love for running.
Runners of all levels took on the course, but two athletes really stole the show. Jordan Cruise had an incredible race, finishing first in the men’s category with a time of 16 minutes and 13.4 seconds. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Doherty blazed through the women’s course, crossing the finish line in 18 minutes and 46.7 seconds. Their performances were inspiring.
