The Hempfield recCenter has just announced that three Wild Card players will be joining the Koser Jewelers $100,000 Tennis Challenge taking place from August 7th to 13th.
The Wild Card players bring an element of surprise and intense competition to the already highly anticipated event. We are eagerly waiting to see these talented players in action as they compete for the title and cash prizes. It’s going to be a week filled with thrilling matches and unforgettable moments on the tennis court.

Sophie Chang is an American tennis player, making her mark in both singles and doubles competitions. With a career-high WTA ranking of #217 in singles (January 2023) and #59 in doubles (September 2022), Sophie has showcased her versatility on the court. Notably, she has clinched the Koser Doubles title twice, in 2017 and 2022. Sophie’s determination and skill continue to drive her success in the world of tennis. We are excited to welcome Sophie back to the Koser!

Carolina Cuevas Bucio is an accomplished tennis player, currently serving as the Assistant Racquets Director at Lancaster Country Club. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. Carolina’s exceptional skills were recognized during her collegiate career, where she achieved a #10 ranking in NCAA DII and was named First Team All-Conference in 2018. She emerged as the winner of the Sunshine State Conference in 2016 and boasts an impressive college singles record of 40 wins and 12 losses.

Olivia Dorner
Williamsport, PA
Olivia Dorner, a rising tennis star, recently completed her freshman year at Penn State University, where she competed as the #4 singles player. Olivia boasts a commendable 15-8 record in dual matches. Prior to her university career, she displayed exceptional talent in high school, going undefeated in both her junior and senior years while clinching the PIAA State Singles Championships. Olivia’s accomplishments extend to multiple USTA tournament victories, including the Battle of Boca tournament in Florida.
