Hempfield recCenter has several ways to help you with childcare!

Kid’s Corner is our free-to-members program for moms and dads needing some babysitting while they work out. Monday-Saturday from 9am-12 noon, and Monday-Thursday from 5-8pm you will see children ages 18 months through 10 years old reading, socializing, playing games, and involved in a variety of age-appropriate activities. Parents or legal guardians must remain on-site and be accessible at all times. Our Kids Corner is restricted to dependents of members only.

School-Age Childcare – Working parents rejoice! Check out the Rec’s affordable before-and-after school care options at Hempfield School District area elementary schools. Snacks, fun, and supervision until the school day starts and until you pick them up!

Summer with the Rec includes two programs – full time weekday childcare here at the Rec during our Summer Day Camp. Swimming, field trips, sports, crafts, nature experiences, and more will delight elementary age kids and keep boredom at bay.

School-aged Childcare

Working families, we have you covered! Our supervised before- and after-school programs provide care for students in grades K to 6 at each elementary school in the Hempfield School district Monday through Friday, when school is in session. This program is licensed by the Dept. of Human Services.

  • Morning Sessions 6:30am to 8:40am (includes breakfast, indoor/outdoor activity, and homework help)
  • Afternoon Sessions 3:30pm to 6:00pm (includes snack, indoor/outdoor activity, and homework help)

SUMMER DAY CAMP

Summer Day Camp offers safe, supervised activity at the Hempfield recCenter campus in Landisville. We are super excited for an awesome summer at Hempfield recCenter’s Summer Day Camp! Registration for Summer Day Camp will open in February 2025 for everyone. Camp directors and counselors have been working on summer plans all fall and winter. We cannot wait for you to see the new events and ideas we have in store for the summer! KID’s CORNER

Families are a big part of Hempfield recCenter. That’s why we offer FREE childcare to our members while they workout and re-energize. Let us keep the kids safe and entertained while you exercise.

Parents or legal guardians must remain on-site and be accessible at all times. Our Kids Corner is restricted to dependents of members only.

Kids’ Corner Hours:

Monday – Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00 pm
Monday – Thursday: 5:00pm – 8:00 pm

There is a 2 hours time limit for ages 18 months+. Infant care is unavailable.
