USTA ADULT TENNIS LEAGUES
Players looking for competitive level-based tennis matches can join Hempfield recCenter USTA league teams. Requirements include a Hempfield recCenter tennis membership or Tennis Team Seasonal Pass, and a USTA membership. You may still be able to get spots on winter teams which are age-based and have leveled mixed doubles play. Some teams have team practices.
When you are picked up by a team captain, you will need to register for the team in USTA Tennis Link. Players without a computer NTRP rating should consult with the tennis office and your captain about the rating to choose. The captain will set up pairings for the 3 courts of doubles play for the 8 to 10 matches for the season. Swipe your card or app barcode every time you enter Hempfield recCenter.
Costs:
- Individual USTA annual membership is currently $44
- Hempfield recCenter membership or team tennis seasonal tennis pass
- Registration in USTA Tennis Link for each team is currently $27.15
- Cost for each match you play during the indoor season is currently $18
- Cost for each match you play during the summer outdoor season is currently $15

Includes 40+ mixed doubles, women’s tri-level doubles, and men’s tri-level doubles

Women’s Central Penn League – September thru March

- Accommodates players from 2.5 through 4.5

- Weekends (Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday)
- January thru April 2024
- Accommodates players from 2.5 through 5.0.
- Central PA District Championships 18+ April 26, 37, 28. 55+ May 3, 4, 5
Summer League – May thru August 2025
Includes ages 18+, 40+, 55+, 65+, 70+
- Weekday evenings and weekend play
- Includes singles and doubles
- May thru August 2025
- 65+ women play on weekday mornings
- Accommodates players from 2.5 through 5.0.
- Primarily an outdoor league with a lower cost per match

More information about the USTA Tennis Team Seasonal Passes:
- Forms and payment are handled through the front desk or the membership office; however, this is not actually a membership.
- The Tennis Team Fall Pass and Tennis Team Winter Pass allows a person to play on USTA League Teams and attend team practices during the designated season.
- Tennis Team Pass holders who attend a clinic, will be charged the non-member rate.
- Tennis Team Pass holders may not reserve courts. If they play on a reserved court with members, they will be charged the $10 guest fee.
- Contact for questions, but use the front desk and membership office to sign up and pay.
- The Tennis Team Fall Pass and the Tennis Team Winter pass can be purchased at the same time, for those who will be playing on teams from September through April.
- People who play in tennis contracts, play on Hempfield recCenter league teams, want to reserve courts, and want to attend clinics and match play at the lower member rate need to have at least a Hempfield recCenter Tennis Membership.
