The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and Amos Herr park was buzzing with excitement this past Saturday, August 26, 2023. Runners from near and far gathered at the starting line for the Amos Herr Honey Run 5K, organized by the Hempfield recCenter. This race is always a testament to the power of community, determination, and a love for running.
Devin Soto and Laura Brenner Shine as First-Place Finishers
The 5K race featured a multitude of talented runners, each pushing themselves to the limit. However, two runners stood out from the crowd. In the men’s category, Devin Soto crossed the finish line in a remarkable 16 minutes and 16.4 seconds, securing the first-place position. On the women’s side, Laura Brenner blazed through the course, finishing in an impressive 19 minutes and 46.3 seconds, claiming the top spot for the women.
