The Hempfield recCenter is pleased to announce the hiring of our newest tennis coach, Dylan Merle! Dylan will be teaching adults and juniors at the Rec. As Director of Junior Tennis, Dylan’s primary focus will be instructing our junior players. Dylan has a deep passion for coaching and teaching young players the fundamentals of the game. We are thrilled to have Dylan on board!
From Columbus, Ohio, Dylan has taught tennis all over the region. Most recently, Dylan served as Head Tennis Pro at the Cleveland Skating Club, where his passion and enthusiasm for the sport shined.
What makes Dylan unique is that he is a self-taught tennis player and coach. Obsessed with the sport from a young age, Dylan worked tirelessly to emulate his favorite pros, working on his game 7 days a week. His hard work earned Dylan first singles varsity from grades 7 to 12.
Today, Dylan has been teaching the sport full-time for over 8 years, and we are delighted to have him join our team. When he is not on the tennis court, Dylan enjoys nature, hiking, and being outdoors.
We know Dylan will be a great addition to our team, and we look forward to having him teach and coach our junior tennis players. Welcome to the Hempfield recCenter, Dylan!
