We are pleased to announce the opening of our Summer Day Camp.
Held at Hempfield recCenter, campers are divided into age groups with planned activities including arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor sports, games, and themed events.
Two-, three-, and five-day options! Campers – grades K–7th 7:00 am–6:00 pm and PreK 7:00 am–1:00 pm
Our SAFETY protocols are as follows:
Staff will escort campers to and from cars – no-touch drop-off from the portico on Church St.
Daily health self-assessment questions will be required by staff and campers.
Staff will wear masks when within 6-feet of another person.
Children will be assigned to a group of 25 (with staff) and remain in that group each day. During the green phase, groups could increase to 50.
Campers are not required to wear masks.
Siblings can be in the same group if preferred.
Hand sanitizers will be available and campers are welcome to bring their own which cannot be shared.

Summer Day Camp 2020 will end Wednesday, August 12th, 2020.
Camp will not be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2020.
Registration is open via email and mail. You may also pick up and drop off your completed application with payment at the Hempfield recCenter during our regular operating hours.
FIELD TRIPS ARE BACK!
Each Wednesday, we will offer an optional Parks and Pizza field trip. Groups will rotate between three West Hempfield Township Parks: Lake Grubb, Ironville Pike, and Fairview Parks. Each park will have supervised activities from our Day Camp Specialists that offer a unique experience that changes each week! Activities will include water play, playground time, hiking and so much more!
Dates: July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5
Cost: $15 per trip—cash, check or card
Time: 10:00 am–2:00 pm
Campers will be bused to the parks — one child per seat with no more than 24 campers per bus.
*Meal will include two slices of pizza and a bag of chips. NOTE: Campers will need to bring their own water bottles/drinks.
*This meal is only offered during the field trip. Campers at the recCenter will need to bring a packed lunch.
