HempFIELD RECCENTER POOLS

Our year-round, heated indoor pool at the recCenter is 25 meters in length (from shallow to deep) and ranges from 3 1/2 to 11 feet deep. With six lap lanes, water aerobics classes, Swim America ™, Masters Swimming, and private swim lessons, there is something for everyone.

• Two lanes are available for lap swimming during most open hours for patrons 16 years of age and older. One lane is always available during scheduled class times. Additional lanes are available at specific times – check posted pool schedule for times.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the recCenter offers an outdoor splash pad (up to age 12) and a shallow wading pool (ages 5 and under) for the youngsters here at the rec center. . . weather permitting, of course.

Parents, please obtain consent from management for children older than 12 to play in the feature pool.

EAST PETERSBURG COMMUNITY POOL

Hempfield recCenter also manages the East Petersburg Community Pool at 2575 Graystone Road, which is open Memorial Day through Labor Day (weather and temperatures permitting) and features a diving well, 2 lap lanes, a play area and a wading pool for children through age 9. And you can lounge under a shady tree or relax in the sun.

When you join us during the summer please note:

• Family swim hours at East Pete are noon until 8pm. Adult lap swimming starts at 9am weekdays, and an adult water aerobic class runs from 10am-11am Monday-Friday.
• The shallow wading pool is for children ages 9 and under.
• Air and water temperatures must equal 140 degrees for the facility to be open. So if the water temperature is 65* and the air temperature is cooler than 75*, the facility reserves the right remain closed.
• Please check with management if you wish to host a small party at the facility during open hours.
• All children must be kept within parental arm reach unless they have passed a swimming test. A lifeguard can administer the test and will record the results.
• The facility closes at 8pm, including access to bathrooms and showers.
• Annual memberships or summer pool memberships give you access to both the rec center pool and the East Pete Pool.
• Refreshments available courtesy of EP Pool’s exciting new partnership with Full Service Concessions. We’re pleased to offer a delicious array of food and treats to enhance your poolside experience this summer!

POOL GUESTS & NON-MEMBERS

Any guest, REGARDLESS OF AGE, is subject to a guest fee. Infants included.

• Parents with an individual, couple or family membership may bring their children, ages 3 and under, free of charge as long as the child is on their parent’s membership profile.
• Senior members bringing grandchildren into the facility who are not noted on a parental membership profile are subject to guest fee, regardless of the child’s age. Infants included.
• Children must be directly supervised by a parent or grandparent in the water unless the child has passed the swim test. A lifeguard can administer a swim test, and results will be recorded and held for the season.
